DAV College organized Bread Competition on Haryana Tourism Day

D.A.V. College organized an Bread Competition for Bakery and Confectionery students on Haryana Tourism Day.'Classical. In Bread competition students prepare White Bread, Bun and Bread Roll. The competition was organised as a promote the culinary practices for food tourism in Haryana.
In this competition motive is to excel the skill and development of technical skill for bread making. The competition had a fruitful event on Bread and bread making and the healthy bread prevailing in the hospitality marketplace. The competition had a special segment which focused on making bread and bread process. Competition is organized by Chef Sunil Kumar in bakery and confectionery lab.  
The students prepared a variety of exotic dishes during the competition including white Bread, bread Roll, Bread Stick & Bun. The students were also showcased the bread skill in the completion on tourism day. In this event Hospitality department faculty Ms Garima Malik and Aman Sharma present co-ordinate the student in bread competition event.
In DAV College also organized Hobby course in Bakery and Confectionery for  5 Days, 10 Days and 15 Days outsider people also participate in Bakery Hobby Course. In Hobby Course student learn and practical knowledge about cake, cookies and bread etc.
White Bread Recipe
Ingredients
Refined Flour – 2 Cup
Sugar – 1 table Spoon
Salt- 1 Tea spoon
Ghee- 2 Table Spoon
Yeast- 1 Tea Spoon
Water- As Required
Baking Temp- 220 C
Baking Time – 35 Min
Method of Preparation:-
Weigh all ingredients and sift the flour.
Knead all the ingredients except oil for 5 minutes.
When the gluten has formed add oil and knead again until the dough is smooth.
Keep the dough for proofing, knock back, scale 450 gms for 400 gm white bread
Shape the bread and put into greased bread tin.

Allow to proof  for 40 mintues and bake at 220Âșc for 35 min.
